Shred the Stress this Holiday Season

Shred the stress this holiday season

Holidays, they represent something different for everyone.  Based on your past experiences, you may or may not look forward to this time of year.

Along with the merriment and cheer, the holidays can often conjure up a cornucopia of stress-related emotions triggered by an array of situations, scenarios, and circumstances.

Whether it is a calendar full of obligatory events and activities; heightened family dynamics; self-imposed expectations; tiring travel demands; or the strain of financial expenses, holiday stress can be overwhelming.

If you fall in the camp of holiday dread, how can you create a healthier, happier experience for yourself and those with whom you plan to engage with this season?

H – Honor your healthy routines and practices – diet, sleep, exercise;

O – Over-index on inner peace versus external expectations;

L – Limit substances that influence your mood and weaken your resolve;

I – Introduce new traditions and practices that bring you more joy and less agony;

D – Determine the Must Dos and dedicate more time to the Want Tos;

A – Adjust your attitude and shift your mindset to summon your best self;

Y – YOU are the only one who truly knows what you need most this holiday season – prioritize you.

How will you shred the stress this holiday season and create space for more joy?
